I’ve noticed today that is not possible to Backup my device data on Google Drive because the option is ’’disabled by admin’’. What does it mean? I haven’t done anything..there’s a way to activate it?

Wow. That's really strange. I haven't got my phone yet but it should be here in a couple hours. When it gets here I'll check it out. I sure hope I don't have that problem.

I have the same issue, on a OnePlus 5 bought in China.
Also, "Options->Backup & Reset" is actually just called "factory reset", and does not include the usual backup options ("backup my data", "backup account", "automatic restore").

That makes it quite a challenge to transfer my files from my old Android phones.

Try to contact Consumer Support, so they'll know that it is a diffused issue and try harder to fix it!

Could it be that you are running a device administrator with policies set by your company?

I've restrictions due to my AD settings and domain, haven't checked the backup via Google as I don't use it but I doubt the company I work for would allow me to backup stuff on the cloud for security reasons.

I've already tried to disable all the device administrators, I even performed a factory reset and even with no 3rd apps installed I had this issue. I can't understand why

It seem you miss the voice "Google Account", are you sure you have backup on Google Drive?
Try to go to Google Drive app, swipe from left to right, go to backup and see if there's the backup there

Not at the moment, I reset entirely mi device yesterday to clean flash OxygenOS via adb-sideload...I'll update today to 4.5.5, but I don't think it is an update matter
