    utrecht , Aug 23, 2014 :
I'm trying to get ADB working on a Mac (OS X 10.8.5) so I can encrypt my OPO. I followed these instructions:

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237

and got ADB and fastboot installed and running on the Mac. But when I run:

    adb devices

    I get:

    List of devices attached
    12345ab6 offline

On my OPO I have USB debugging enabled and I've also tried enabling ADB over network. I also tried Revoke USB debugging authorization (no effect). I've rebooted and unplugged the OPO several times.

    Mac users, any suggestions?

Unplug your device, make sure USB Debugging is checked in settings... Kill the ADB Server in Terminal ( adb kill-server) and then restart the ADB Server ( adb start-server), plug your device in and try again...

If that doesn't work... Make sure you are seeing the prompt about trusting the computer (which will appear on your OnePlus One when you plug the phone in)... You will need to check the always allow this computer box and click accept or trust...

Turns out I had an older version of ADB. o_O
Found the latest version and it appears to work.
