Why would you need to? There is a Xposed module that allows you to cast like Nexus devices now.

Yes, I have used the OPO with a Samsung Miracast dongle and an LG tv with Miracast built in and they both worked great.

Oh I will take that back then. You can use Videostream to stream from your computer to the Chromecast.

No, but the really weird thing I found on my OPO was that there was a quick toggle in the notification bar (CAST SCREEN) that let me mirror my entire android screen to my Chromecast. No one could give me a straight answer about it this feature. I always thought that the Nexus 5 was the only one able to do this by default. I soon found out that the feature was very buggy, it did work but it glitched out and the only way I could get that functionality back is if I keep factory resetting my phone. I just gave up on it.

Why you want me to smash my Miracast bro? HAHAHAHA :D
I like it... It's really useful for me more than the Chromecast... But I promise you if I had a chance to get it from USA I'll buy it...
It's very expensive here in Egypt (+100$)

My OPO is running the stock CM11s with no mods and it's not rooted. I think most OPO didn't noticed this because they either don't have a Chromecast and the feature only works temporarily before completely disappearing from the notification bar. My OPO must have detected my Chromecast through wifi activating this feature, but I was successful mirroring my entire android screen for about an hour before the feature stopped working. I want to know if OPO have had the same experience I did.

Any Devs or Admins care to chime in about Chromecast compatibility?

Edit: This is it, most of you OPO owners won't be able to see this unless you do a factory reset on your phone, have a Chromecast near you, and be connected to wifi from what I have concluded.
