    No, the problem would be that they have to give the color of their own feather, if they say the one from the next person, then they are not trying to guess their own, giving them a 50/50 chance of getting killed.

    If they are sitting around in a circle, they can count how many red feathers. If you count 24, u have red. if you count 25, you have the other color.

    No wrong! There is a method where all except one survive. And the first has a fifty fifty chance.

    Also it's random how many feathers of which color are distributed. And they are asked in a random order.
