"Dirty" flash?

Hi all. Recently i got a 3T and my buttons started acting weird. Randomly stop working. Tried different solutions, but no luck. In the meantime, i flashed a custom rom from XDA and now I'm using it.

My question is, what will happen if I try to dirty flash latest open beta over this rom. Will it brick? Current rom is OnePlus3TOS, rooted and installed via TWRP.

I know that i can do a clean flash, but I really want to avoid setup and installing all apps all over again...

    Thanks in advance

dirty flash only if it is an update to the same ROM.

clean flash if switching ROMs, even if between stable and open beta.

    Thanks all for replies.
At the end, I've dirty flashed latest Open Beta over this installed Custom rom, with wiping cache only, and everything works as a charm for this past few hours. Not sure about root, Magisk says that it's not installed, but I don't really need to be rooted. Even the buttons work now, but I'm not sure for how long, because they stopped randomly before...

I will probably clean flash Open Beta, anyway, but when I get some free time

    Thanks again for your replies!

    Cheers
