People who store a lot of media on their phones - especially if they prefer to keep it in lossless format.

I wasn't expecting MicroSD to be honest. I was, however, expecting and hoping for a 128GB model. It's a shame they didn't make one, but 64GB should be just about enough - despite feeling a little tight. 128GB would have been ideal.

And what @rarog says is true. Even if companies do announce a 128GB model, in Central/Eastern Europe it is usually unavailable. Even some 64GB models or colors are hard to find. OnePlus is different since you're buying directly from them, but still. Who knows how many would they have produced.

A microSD card slot would be nice but 64GB is enough for the majority of people. Not everyone can be happy!

I don't care about 64 GB and 128 GB because frankly speaking you can easily live with 64 GB. It's good enough.
The thing I am disappointed about OPT is the lie Oneplus is telling. This is in no way a Flagship killer. and that too 2016. I agree that at this price you can't expect more but why to lie to people? Why to say that it is 2016 Flagship killer? Just say this is a mid range phone..Very good phone but this lie is disappointing..I was desperately waiting for this phone but now I will wait and watch..

I'm completely prepare to pay more for bigger storage and fast charging, neither of which has been offered. So disappointed.
I have the similar situation with music, plus regular 720p tv/film downloads, therefore 128GB would be very ideal, or at least an SD slot.
Considering many overseas users do not like dual sim feature, OnePlus could have offered the feature where users can use one sim card slot as sd card slot (some other Chinese mobile manufacturers do offer this feature).
I'm now waiting for Moto X Style, which is still affordable with a 128GB Sandisk sd card costing only 40 quid.

BTW, just read the comments on Zhihu (Chinese Quora), their product manager answered some criticism including the missing NFC, saying it's too expensive and not many users based on their market research.

Dude nice sarcasm but nobody is asking for that. But if Oneplus is projecting this phone as the 2016 Flagship killer then they should have such specs. Why to lie to people? Why to project those things which they have in OPT as good and rest of the things as crap? Call it a mid level phone then..Dont call it a Flagship killer..

I think memory will become less of an issue in 2016 if anything. Cloud is where the world is moving! Plus you want to be backing up your files anyway so that you don't lose them if something happens. So your phone is not really the place to be holding files that you aren't using on a regular basis!

I can understand you dude. But 128 GB & SD-CardSlot is a bit much and is for me (and I think also 95% if the Users) to much. 64GB is enough, I just liked to have a SD Slot because of the big amount of bricked OPOs which could have been repaired with a sinple SD Cardslot because there are Sotuations in ehich you cant flash a System and cant copy things easily to your Phone or from your Phone without SD-Cardslot ;)

I totally agree that 64 GB is enough although a micro SD slot would have been better. I am talking about other features of OPT which IMHO are not like a 2016 Flagship killer. Still I will wait and see..

they did their market research to realize that the average smartphone user isn't using anywhere near that much storage.

those people who seriously need more than 64GB on board will obviously look for something else.

This phone is meant to be the "flagship killer 2016"?
    What happened to "never settle"?

This phone is an average phone at an average price.
It is doing nothing to "kill" the flagship phones, and you're okay with that because you're a casual user who thinks that all phones should cater to casuals.

Don't really see why 128 gb would be necessary for a phone, I have the 16 gb version of the nexus 5 and I have never had a space issue, but I would be getting the 64 gb version of the OP2 just for that extra bit
