Well, Using pro mode takes better pics.I just assumed you don't know that! Did you know that? And there is a ported gcam mod app which works perfectly! As for me, I will take all the pictures in pro mode irrespective of the phone or the company or the camera

;) how would you imagine a factory reset would help with picture quality?

What a joke... My wife has a Mi A1, we are currently on holidays, and compare photos. On EVERY situation my Op5T puts the A1 to shame ! I'll post samples if I can, but honestly, these complains about 5t camera being rubbish are just silly...

Yes, If you look at the newly created threads you can see camera threads in line and people don't even search first!
If you want the pain try answering the questions of the threads for one or two days completely..You will get the rudeness even.. It's not because you can't do it! It's because it's all the same again repetitive work again and again! Yeah, I know you'll tell me to stay out of it! How hard will it be for people to just search?

I don't think it's the software. I think it's the hardware that's the problem. Oneplus 5T doesn't have OIS, and instead uses EIS. I've compared a photo from my old OPPO neo 4, that I transferred to my Oneplus 5T, and the results was disappointing. Since Oneplus 5T doesn't have OIS; when you zoom in on a photo you take, it doesn't adjust the quality, so the photo becomes ugly. Although I'm not sure if Optical image stabilization is hardware, that's why I said "I don't think it's software". So any update might not fix the issue.

They won't be able to make the camera good. Since Oneplus 5T doesn't have OIS, and the lack of OIS of OP5T, actually makes the camera terrible, but with a good lighting Oneplus 5T, can take some good quality photos (just don't zoom in HEHE)

Actually it's not. Oneplus 5T doesn't have OIS, which makes the photo quality not that good. I've transferred my old photos from my OPPO neo4, to my Oneplus 5T, and my Neo 4 has better quality pictures, because of it. If you try zooming in on pictures you take from Oneplus 5T phone, then you'll see what I'm saying.

Yes. Try zooming in on a photo that you take with Oneplus 5T, and a phone with OIS. You'll see the difference.
