    Thanks for creating the thread!

I'm gonna be that guy and mention the colour tinting here. It occurs at low levels of brightness and makes gray tones seem green or purple.

I'm not sure if this can really be fixed with a software patch or if I should try to get a replacement, but seems like multiple users have this problem.

Excited to see a solution as I'm actually quite happy with my oneplus nord otherwise

I don't have a lot of issues with it to be honest, but that's because I always use a little darker screen then most. (because of my migraines)
When you want a whiter screen, you need to out your phone in another thema. I prefer the dark on, but if you want your page to be white, you need to change those settings.

I don't have green/purple tint issues, only when I scroll through a grey page. as long as it's black, my screen is good.

I saw a few people who didn't like the colour when the phone is in night modus, but you can change the setting if you keep pressing the moon icon, change the settings to your liking.

Good luck to those who really can't get used to the screen 🤗[e]1f44d[/e]

A little update and questions to the other Nord users if they have the same issue?
After my phone had been off/restarted or even recharged, I need to change the screen settings -> sleeping time to 1 minute. It jumps back to 30 seconds.
if I don't do this, the brightness of the screen changes in 15 secs from bright to darker if I don't do this.

Display tinting issues and black crush... You won't run away from us 🤗 And don't even think to say it's amoled specific.

P.S. Increasing and limiting minimum brightness ≠≠≠ fixing!!!

The screen brightness is adjusting when adaptive brightness is off. The brightness seems to shift 3 times and gets darker. Then if opening another app it returns to the original brightness and then shifts down again.

Exactly this. Really annoying. With adaptive brightness off: homescreen looks fine. But when I open an app like Chrome, Contacts, Whatsapp or any other app: brightness dims after a few seconds. When I DON'T open an app (stay on homescreen) or when I open the system settings app, the brightness doesn't get darker.

Important problem. Brightness shouldn't shift. I'm on a light theme.

when I use face unlock to open there is black circle around the camera cutout for 1 sec. If u want to see switch the wallpaper of home screen to any colour near the camera except for black.

    Hi,

thanks for creating a new thread to discuss about Display/Brightness issues.

I am observed like the adaptive screen brightness sometimes makes screen brightness more suddenly

This usually happens when unlocking the phone.

Hope to get it fix in the OTA.

How are the Brightness levels on Nord outdoors, especially under direct sunlight?
I gave into Oneplus adverts claiming 1000 nit peak brightness and 700 sustained, but some reviewers have pointed out average brightness tends to hover around 400-450 Nits. This is the same as on the 6T which to me was on the lower end as I used to struggle to see it under direct sunlight. 7T on the other end, is much brighter.
