    Hi!

While using the phone during the day, I notice nothing about the display.
However, in low light conditions and low brightness, the display is tinted differently from one side to the other.

I confirmed it using the app OLED tools

Does anyone have a similar experience?

this is a hot topic long back. just chill.. you can see this only in dark environment and also you should have the brightness very low. even in pixel it is there. but a very small amount.

all OnePlus devices have this issue. all have different different shades.. so no need of RETURN

just live with it you won't notice that

    Bullshit
I had very similar unit. I returned it and ordered a new one. It's much better now, but still not perfect. It's a lottery how good or bad display you'll get. If you are sensitive about it, don't hesitate. It will not disappear, and you'll probably will not forget about it

that is the issue. if you have a decent display you can live with it .. else the return process is the painful process

my colleagues have many OnePlus phones all the display have this issue , and each of the shades looks different, and the interesting part is after I told this issue to them then only they all come to know they have this issue.

then I felt relaxed and living with this shaded OnePlus 3T display..

Believe you won't notice that after sometime!

    Just enjoy your device

It depends of the intensity of the problem. It's everyone's personal decision how good the screen has to be in order to accept it. Some units are so bad that you can't forget about it

there's definitely an issue with quality control with the displays even though it's a Samsung panel. probably have to do with keeping costs low. Quality definitely is not SAMSUNG SUPERAMOLED level but we get what we pay for. I had one 5T with yellowish and pinkish tint on the display returned and my replacement is not perfect. but oh well

No. He said that there's no need for return and you will forget about the issue. It's bullshit. There's big difference between screens and none of them is perfect, but not every is as bad as this in the photo above. So I advice to return the bad units and repeat the process till you get unit that satisfies you.

Yes, it is present on my OnePlus 5T too. At first I thought the display was damaged, so I got the display replaced under warranty but the issue was still present. Albeit, it was less intense as compared the previous display unit.

Although, it's only noticable in low brightness in a dark room and most prominent over near black color like gray. It really bugs me. Especially, while browsing through app that has gray background like Netflix and every Google app with Dark mode on. Dark mode on Android is highly inconsistent and mostly gray unlike iOS.

Ununiformity is a generic OLED production issue. You just have to be a rare lucky person to get a proper OLED on relatively budget friendly phones.

Only Samsung and Apple's phones have a near perfect OLED with the later being slightly better. OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro might also be right there with Samsung and Apple iPhones as they have A+ grade panels.
