    Hello Reader,
I hope you are safe and doing fine during the pandemic. As you may know, back in 2019 OnePlus sent first 500 members their addition n.01 magazine. The day I received the magazine, I was in love with not just the magazine but also the packaging! We all know that #NoDetailisTooSmall for OnePlus. The packaging of the magazine is a living example of the hashtag.
All black matte finish with even circle groves makes it a unique yet powerful design element.

On 10th Jan, my parents gifted me a 10inch tablet. Unfortunately I could not find a single case for the tablet:(. Suddenly I saw the bullets wireless red silicon pouch chilling in the table and an idea stuck in my mind. It is said,
"Necessity is the mother of invention"
I decided to create a Magnetic case of my own using OnePlus packaging.

Before I share the steps on how to make it, here is a GIF on how it works :

    Features
    1. Magnetic Locking.
    2. Bubble Wrapped texture prevents the tablet from damage.

    3. Incredibly light weight.
    Parts you need:
    1. 4 magnets. ( I used the magnets from toy speakers)
      61jb4YZniIL._AC_SY355_.jpg
    2. Double sided tape.
    3. Scissors.
    4. Cardboard.
    Lets get started:
    1. Cut the sharp corners of the packaging and give it a circular shape. IMG_20200330_215822-01.jpeg
    2. Take the magnets and trace two circles on either sides of OnePlus logo. (This will be used to fix the two magnets in place). Cut the circle using scissors. 1268602-a3f6cf97073bd2865a9d0482507c3c4b.jpg
    3. Stick the magnets in a small cardboard cutout and attach that cardboard to the inside of case in such a way that magnets pop out from the circular cutout. 1268604-d392d51d33eee33660da51fae3cc8aed.jpg
    4. Take a hard sheet of card board and cut a 20/3 cm rectangle out of it.
    5. Place the cardboard on top of the OnePlus logo and place the remaining two magnets over it. The magnets should align themselves with the lower magnets.
    6. Trace the position of the magnet and cut the slot on the card board sheet. Stick the magnets in these slots.
    7. Stick the cardboard on the opening flap of the packaging using double sided tape IMG_20200330_221843-01__01_001__01_001.jpg

    Remarks

    1. The size of the packaging was reduced according to the tablet size.
    2. White paper strips was added to hide the rough edges.
I am writing this thread with the intention to create an awareness about reduce, reuse and recycle. While most of the regions are under lockdown, it also gives us the opportunity to explore our creative mindset which was earlier stacked under school, college and work pressure.

This case once an imagination is now a reality. All you need is to imagine. ~An engineer who is bored of Lockdown.

This thread wouldn't have been possible without the help of @YRJ. Thanks dude.
