One Plus 2 has Corning Gorilla 4 screen, does it mean we don't need any Screen Guards/Protectors to save the screen from any unwanted scratches???

I wouldnt bet on it.. In theory, the glass is not scrachable by knifes, keys, etc but somehow the glass will end up scratched. I'd advise a tempered glass screen protector as it provides great protection is is pretty much not noticable.

Exactly, I did use Google's Nexus 4 which comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 1 and it was supposed to be scratch proof, but over the time, I can see it has got some scratches... so... as most of the people say "Always Use Protection!!!"

Does anyone has idea about if Corning Gorilla 4 will be any better than earlier versions???

If you want your device screen to be impeccable then yes. If you want a non fussy experience in using your device then no.

But anyways, irrespective of Corning gorilla glass 4/3/2/1 and how well you use your device the screen is somehow magically prone to at least some fine scratches that might not be easily visible.

I've not used screen protection for years and have been ok while carrying it in my pocket without a case. Hope I didn't just jinx myself. Is it fact that OPT comes with screen protector installed? I've read rumors to that effect.

It will get scratched by sand that gets caught between the screen and another object. I don't believe GG4 has solved that issue.

The gorilla glass is quite durable but it could still potentially get scratched. I would put a screen protector on it. You can usually find good screen protectors for less than $10 on Amazon. It's worth it, you don't want to scratch your new op2 by mistake.
