Do you think the OnePlus 3 will be a huge success like OnePlus One?

Nope. The secret sauce with the OPO was COS.

Software needs to improve significantly. OnePlus is hopping on the VR train so I hope they are not sticking with 1080p as VR in 1080 is not enjoyable. I don't need the Three but do expect to buy it to try it out like I have done with the One, Two and X.

Specs are not as impressive as we expected, also oneplus is now same as other companies just release new phone to make money.. no after sale service.. no or delay updates...

they dont have enough resource to provide upgrade to existing 3 phones and now they releasing 4th..

sorry to say but you are on wrong track , oxygen os is pathetic..

this phone cannot touch the legacy of OPO , credit to Cyanogen team for their continues support....

They make good hardware, but that wasn't the success of OPO. It was the combination of hardware and software.
But they don't learn from mistakes. OOS was a mistake, missing updates for OP2 is awful promotion. They should make a new deal with Cyanogen, then OP3 would be the next big success.

I hope that OP3 come out with a significant specification that worth users to upgrade from OP2 to OP3, additional to Software support with upades

I think OP3 will fall somewhere between OPO and OPT. Too many competitors doing the same thing now.

Anyone who has software development experience knows it takes time to build up a development environment, automated test cases, etc ... before you start churning out software more efficiently. Cyanogen built up that base but when Android M came out, they took a long time to release their version of M because they had to refactor (redesign) their code. I expect OnePlus will get more efficient with their code base and churn out a better product more expediently.

Don't know!! OPO did not have much completion in the price range. But, now there are no. of OEMs like Xiaomi, Le Eco, Zuk offering similar specs at attractive prices as well.

Lets see what OP3 is all about in a few days.:p

They put a way too small battery inside if it's 3000mah. Also, there probably won't be microsd support. Wtf? I'm probably skipping it and changing my OPO for a Redmi Note 3 Pro..

@giridhar I have removed the link to your blog. We would all love to know about the success formula here, instead of having us re-directed to a outside link. Thanks.

Well judging by the loop VR success I think if it's got the specs rumoured and around £300-350 it will succeed

Such a disappointment, 5 in display? C'mon OP, you can do better than that. Looks like this will be another device I won't purchase.

Could have at least done 5.5 display!!!

OPO owner for two years now and I'm ready for new device. I dont care about fancy features or space alien materials. Just give me the best damn camera possible for a smartphone. If OPO3 falls short in the camera dept, I'll be looking at either Samsung or HTC....price be damned!
