Seems like this topic isn't getting enough traction from support.
why haven't they fixed it by now??

    (VOTE THIS UP PLEASE!!)

Mods should edit title to read: "Do you think the RECEPTION would be fixed in the next update?"

    EDIT 07-OCT-2014 12PM EST

Updated to 38R and the reception (drum roll)...is even WORSE! it's very unpredictable and jumps from 0 to 3-4 and back to 0..very very unpredictable as im sitting at my desk..it's jumping up and down. at least 33R was consistently bad. The Radio in 38R appears to be the same as 33R

This may be the last straw for my OPO..it's a shame, but in the end..it's primary purpose is to be a phone not a phablet toy.

3G/4G(H+ not true 4G)..this works fine about -79

LTE in the same spot..is -105..its a disaster (I get full bars on the iphone 5S on LTE with about 25mbps while on OPO it barely pulls 1.5mbps)

    EDIT 07-OCT-2014 5PM EST
    Based on this XDA thread

Tested on 38R with stock kernel

I did lots of testing on the various modems. Long story short..they're all not good(I only tested LTE on T-mobile).
I had very very small improvements on 30O...so I stuck with that for now. erratic reception fluctuation varied. I have yet to test how calls and handovers are handled from H to LTE. I will give this time to get a more accurate picture.

    CyanogenMod 11S OTAs
    XNPH33R (08/20/14):
    https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712462756
Comments: Same as 38R and 33R (go back to this one for the latest) this is the latest current modem software.

    XNPH30O (08/10/14): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712462755
Comments: This is actually the one i stuck with. it showed fairly low signal on LTE, but fluctuation were not as bad. it was consistent.

    XNPH25R(07/02/14) + XNPH22R (06/05/14): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712462749
Comments: not as bad at 33R but not that great either (fluctuations).

    CyanogenMod 11 Snapshot
    M9 (08/05/14): Same radio as XNPH30O (See XNPH30O)

    M8 (07/09/14): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712464203
Comments: this was the worst for me. consistently bad and no improvements.

    ColorOS
09/18/14: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712473371 (thanks to Comments: Not that great. Had no bars and very much fluctuated the whole time between 1 and 0 or -105

    See http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...4&postcount=31

Comments: I did not try this one..I might try this and update.

Suddenly it appears my signal is maintaining LTE a lot better. Called AT&T to see if any repairs or upgrades were done in my area and they said nothing has been done in the last 30-45 days.

I'm seeing a lot less of H and H+. Whatever it was appears to have worked itself out apparently. If it stays this way I can live it with.

My signal was very strong and consistent until 33R OTA. Now it's awful. Many are reporting similar experiences at https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-132. I expect they won't release new OTA until they figure it out but it's seems they are having problems with it & have stopped communicating. Some have said that Cyanogen will be dropped and there will be nothing really new until pure Android L.

i've not encountered any issue with the signal, and it seems to be better than my previous lumia 920, i couldn't get any signal with my lumia when i'm indoor last time, but with OPO i can at last get 2 to 3 bars

Not sure it looks like ( so far) 43% don't have the issue so maybe they're looking at issues that s greater proportion of the phones?

I don't think the fix will be software. I think this has to do with the modem, which is provided by OPO and not CM.

    I wish I'm wrong on this !
