Do you use AdBlocker on your phone?

With CM11s on OPO and rooting doesn't void the warranty, do you want to use adblockers or do you already use them?

I'm a developer and I don't use them as they are the way we make money.
    So what are your thoughts?

I don't really use any apps that have ads in them but if I did, then I'd prolly use an ad blocker...mainly because they obtrusive and easy to click on by accident.

I tried Adblock Plus but it broke MMS, so I took it off. I'd like to try one of the others, but just haven't got around to it yet. I would like it mainly for web browsing.

For ads in apps, I have no problem paying a reasonable price for an ad free experience.

I'm with riffraff, ad's wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so overwhelming. Ad-services installed with games though are the absolute worst. Airpush and the like make me crazy. I understand that developer's make money by having a free ad-supported program, but if the program is worth the harassment of ads, then it's worth a couple bucks for me to not have to deal with them. Or alternatively and if you have kids, games that offer in app purchases so you can actually accomplish something are terrible as well. Just let me buy the game outright, and change the mechanics so I don't have to spend my life savings to build a building or whatnot.
So, I root and use adaway, because my time, not to mention my devices security is important to me.

I use an Xposed module to block ads. MiniMinGuard.

You'll still get OTA updates with root, but it will unroot your phone. You won't get them with a custom recovery though, AFAIK.

You do get them also with custom recovery. But it's recommended to uncheck "Update CM Recovery" in developers options.

I do use them, and I'm a fledgling developer myself, but I buy a LOT of software, because I feel it's important to support development. Any product that I use and that isn't too outrageously priced, I buy it, even if I only use it rarely, because I believe it's the right thing to do.

    I just hate ads.

Nope, I just write to my host file. I'm closing in on 100k adservers so far. Gotta catch them all.
