True if an app is really good then would prepared to pay a small sum to rid the ads

And I find it really annoying when an app doesn't give me that option. For those apps, I feel no remorse for depriving the developer of ad revenue.

I do not have any on my current phone, but I have very few apps that have ads in them. I have purchased some apps to get the ad-free versions.

    The problem is
You also get the ads on products and channels you don't like ...
And you can't know if you like something before trying it

Had to add i.ytimg.com to my blacklist now it seems to be working. Apparently adaway doesn't block youtube video ads by default anymore?

I use AdAway and yes you can still get OTA updates despite being rooted. Use survival mode to retain root.

Yeah, I use AdAway. One of the first apps I install after installing a custom rom.

One of the main reasons I root, I can't stand the ads especially if they are very intrusive which most are. Plus I don't feel bad for the developer because they should figure a percentage of the users are going to do this, im sure the percentage of customers getting ads is more than those of us who use an ad blocker, and yes I have purchased apps not to remove the ads which I don't get by using adaway but rather for extra features I may want to use. So to the developer, as a business person this would be one of the costs of doing business IMHO......

No. I don't use ads on phone as I don't wish to deprive mobile developers of money. However, I do use adblock on YouTube on PC.

I try to avoid first-party apps for this very reason. And as long as they don't pop-up and fill the whole screen on a game, I couldn't care less.
