Use it all the time on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Haven't tried it yet with OPO. It's tricky. When there is traffic congestion, Waze will re-route you. But when Waze needs data regarding road conditions, Waze will suggest a route which has no congestion. I suspect that Waze needs data on road conditions. When Waze lacks data, Waze will suggest a route that may not be the optimal route to collect data. So you are a guinea pig. Sometimes. Also, have heard that users download Waze and submit false reports of traffic congestion to discourage drivers from using certain routes that pass through residential neighborhoods.

Google rerouted me before. Saved me from traffic nightmares many times

that's interesting, but I imagine it would take a lot of dedication to deter drivers though. Waze is pretty awesome I use it for staying up to date on cops on my daily commute... radars in private vehicles are illegal in my state.

I use it, and I'm also a Waze volunteer map editor. It's a community effort, so if there's something wrong with the map in your area you can go to the Waze map editor and fix it.

I really like WAZE! Not just for GPS and point-to-point driving directions, but with WAZE you get up to the second Traffic info and notification of Speed Traps by Police, as reported by other motorists in Real Time. You know exaxtly when to re-route and when to slow down! It is one of the first apps I download on all new phones and tablets.

WAZE uses the same Re-Route algorithms as Google, Garmin, etc., all in live time. 100% reliable.

Both Google Maps and Waze are great. However, Waze has one great advantage. It uses hundreds of other waze users in the area as data collection points. It reports traffic information in truly REAL time. Moreover, when using it for navigation, it will route around the slow traffic in the area.

I've figured out what the issue was with my Waze app not syncing with the satellite... For some reason, if you clear the cache for the app, you're screwed and must uninstall and reinstall the app. Since learning this, one, I don't clear the cache, and two, everything works great.

My biggest issue with Waze is that the search function sucks. I'll put in a place I know to be in my city and I'll get results from hundreds and sometimes even thousands of miles away. The other big issue I have with the app is getting totally BS warnings like Street X is at a standstill when it's clear and running smoothly. It's like the app thinks it's rush hour on Wednesday or something.

An ex-gf of mine uses it all the time, even for regular routine drives to work. she absolutely loves it.

I was going to, but once google bought them, I thought it would be shafted on updates (could be wrong, just my thinking) so stuck with google maps.
