Does every OnePlus 3 have the camera focus issue?

I have a OnePlus 3, which is still on the factory version of OxygenOS, (3.2.8?) and doesn't have the common camera focus issue. I've heard that one of the later updates is what broke the camera. However, this particular one was manufactured in March 2017, so is it possible that the units manufactured then didn't have the issue? I want to know if it's safe to update the phone without breaking the camera.

Its purely hardware issue. No matter it takes only 2-3 days to repair in oneplus service station. I also had the same problem but luckily i changed the camera module within the warrenty period for free cost.

I know it's a hardware thing, but I've read that was caused by updating to OxygenOS 4.1.7. Also, I'm in the US, so there are no service centers.

Clean the speaker grill or visit a service centre. Can I assume in answer to the OP, that you do not have the camera focus issue?

My phone was running the final beta build, when I smashed the screen, having been through the stable builds as well, I didn't have the camera focus issue.

That's correct. I don't have the issue yet. I was just curious if the units manufactured nearly a year after release would have had the focus issue fixed out of the box. (mine was made March 2017, the initial release was in 2016)

@David Y lot of people affected camera focus issue.. but someone's says it's a OSS update issue. someone's says it's a Hardware issue..

in hardware issue how did people affected at same time ??

In OSS issue... Y we paid for camera module ??

contacted your service station and customer care.. they said it's a limited offer to change camera module in free of cost.

I don't know .. we don't anything.. just updated OSS..

you see the community .. still lot of people create new thread for camera focus issue..

You must know that very well!
I am not, that short form has a widely accepted abbreviation.
One should not speak of things he does not know!
A random reply does not require you to quote David Y. , Who was only trying to help!
and playing the 'I know nothing' is not working.

    End of conversation~
