I have a keen eye for color balance and I can honestly say the color balance setting does nothing at all on my device. It's especially easy to notice now that the new quick setting slider lets you preview the screen while changing the value. I found a thread about this on XDA and everyone agreed that the slider does nothing on their devices too.

I'm curious if you guys are seeing any difference? Or maybe the effect is so subtle it's impossible to notice?

When it works, it's definitely more yellow at the right end and bluer at the left end on my phone, at least. It doesn't always work, though; it appears that it only works once per session, requiring a reboot to work again.

Works for me though you have to be on a white background like this forums background to notice it. I like to keep it all the way to blue side.

    It works
You're just not noticing it as the effect is too subtle
You need to be on a white background and full brightness in a dark place to be able to see a difference

It works perfectly for me. The extreme left end of the slider is to turn the display a bit cooler (blue), whereas the extreme right end of the slider is to turn the display a bit warmer (yellow). Try wiping Dalvik cache and cache, and if possible, dirty-flashing OxygenOS 2.2.0 and see if it works.
