    Folks,
    • I did some research on the forum about this topic. I did find many posts asking for an equalizer with the Dolby Atmos feature. Since my OnePlus 6 device I haven't seen the possibility to adjust the output sound anymore, at least with a device with the European version of Oxygen OS.
    • Broadening my search I was fortunate enough to come across a thread on XDA exposing the possibility of installing a Dolby Atmos application and disabling the Dolby Atmos version provided by OnePlus. I tested this on my brand new OnePlus 8pro and I'm pleased to see that it works quite well. I have the possibility to correct the sound to my liking. Although what OnePlus provides with its Dolby Atmos version is not bad, this is on presets that may not be suitable for every ear. Listening to a sound is as subjective as tasting a few flavors. Everyone has their own perspective on the subject. So I think that having an equalizer is essential, I love listening to music.
    • I didn't invent anything, all I know is that I'm learning about various communities on the internet. I propose to share this with you and I hope it will bring as much pleasure as it did for me.

2/ Enable Developer Options, then turn on USB Debugging
3/ Connect phone to PC, when prompted in the phone, allow debugging
    4/ Type de following code
    Code:
    [/CENTER]
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.oneplus.sound.tuner

    5/ Reboot

    You've all done.

So You should know that command will disable the Dolby Atmos available on your settings!
From now use the application available from QS tile Dolby Atmos.

Please read carefully the thread, i will update the thread to revert back to stock.

I DO KNOW THAT AS A RECOGNIZED DEVELOPER, but this was the only thing being installed when it disappeard, so I thought maybe something went wrong with the abd command out something, searching for others that had the same thing.

Thank you for this. I found the same thing via an article on XDA. However, I've uninstalled the existing Dolby Sound Tuner on my Oneplus 7. The thing is, with this Dolby Atmos V3 (or even V2 for that matter), the settings don't really stick. It's more of a hit-and-miss event when I remove my earphones, it changes to either Balanced Intelligent Equilizer or just shifts to Dynamic all of a sudden. Would you know any way to make these settings stick?

Hi, I'm surprised because the settings stick. depends of what and how you are listening.
From my usage i only enable music and set the equalizer to my liking.

did you run this command? It disable the Dolby Atmos from OP

    Code:
    adb shell pm enable-user --user 0 com.oneplus.sound.tuner

My bad, I did not reboot after running the native Dolby Atmos uninstall command on ADB. I just found an answer on XDA where the author said if you don't reboot, it will cause similar issues like not sticking after disconnecting from headphones and so on.

Thanks a ton by the way!

Folks, it's necessary to reboot after uninstalling/disabling the native Dolby Atmos present on your phone. After that, install the apk provided for the new Dolby Atmos app.

    That sounds very technical (and dangerous!) 2020-06-16 11.12.02.jpg 2020-06-16 11.12.11.jpg .
What makes an amateur who just wants an equalizer inside Spotify.

    Like on my old OnePlus

That's not dangerous at all :)
It seems that you don't need this "mod"
Only European user don't have the equalizer for some obscur reason. ;)
