Don't use tempered glass.

    My old Samsung S2 fell several times hard enough for the back and battery to go flying. No damage to phone. Had a cheap screen protector, otherwise naked.

    someone dropped my nexus 5
    it cracked my glass spigen glass sp
    removed cracked glass sp n supcase
    nexus5 lcd no cracks when its naked;)

    slipped my z ultra while making a call, landed on kerb, cracked my glassm sp
    yet to remove it together with capdase coz its usable :)

    moral of the story...wear a condom alwaz:rolleyes:

    Depends from what distance you dropped the phone. Even with a tempered glass screen protector, the glass on the phone will break if dropped from a certain height. Tempered glass doesn't work magic. It's just better than a gel screen protector.

    I placed mine in a safe ,sunk it in 6 feet of reinforced concrete. Installed shock absorbers on the concrete case and then wrapped the entire casement in lead and installed a faraday cage. I think its safe now!
