Sometimes the double tap to wake or double tap to lock is not working, this is happening even after the update. Is it happening only for me or for other phones also.

Make sure that the option 'Douple tap to lock is enabled'. You can enable it by long pressing on the home screen--> home settings--> enable double tap to lock.
(If you are using some other launcher this feature might not be available)

If the issue still persists then try clearing the app cache and storage. You can do this by going to settings--> apps & notifications 6--> view all apps--> OnePlus launcher--> storage--> clear cache and storage. This will reset your launcher, which will clear all customisations that you have done to your launcher.

If either of these don't solve your problem then lemme know. But if it works do like and follow :)

Yes bro tried it, double tap is enabled and am using it, the thing is sometimes I have to tap two or three times to wake and moreover I have cleared the cache also. Sometimes I have to press the power button when the double tap is not working

Hmm... Is your OnePlus Launcher up to date? You can check it on the Play Store. If not then update it. If that doesn't solve the issue, try reinstalling it (this will remove all customisations that you have done to your launcher).

If that doesn't work then maybe try clearing the system's cache. You can do it using Google Files. If that also doesn't work then try factory resetting the phone (THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR PHONE!!!)

I think the double tap to wake up feature and ambient display feature won't work simultaneously. Though am not sure on this maybe someone from community might be able to answer it.

Oh I thought he was only talking about double tap to lock and not double tap to wake.

You're correct. We can either have double tap to wake or tap to show the ambient display.

Hi, Yeah you're right both option couldn't be enabled simultaneously but in Nord, we can able to enable both option simultaneously. Why it is not for 7t and when this will be resolved is a big question mark.

Anyway I don't know what happened in the last update 10.3.4 now display and battery heats up quickly even in normal usage like browsing or youtube, the double tap sometimes does not respond, now I went back to lift to wake option, this heating issue is new, dont know what is happening. And I know if I take the phone to service centre they will say the heating issue is nothing, my battery temperature reaches 39.5 to 40 in normal usage like browsing or youtube.

Update: after reverting to tap to wake screen, the heating issue stopped and I Confirmed this by running youtube for 30mins. It stayed at 35 battery temperatures, I think if my exp are right then oneplus has messed up with the update leading to heat issue.
