People lets vote and ask for votes so that we can priorities what issues devs should resolve ASAP. Thats the least before we can do before cursing the devs here

your ******* flashing guide took away the imei 2 and now we cannot use 2nd sim....this what you bloody test and release...enough is enough.
We need our money back...would have been happy with moto G4 which is 10k cheaper.

You need your phone fixed according to the warranty. Not compensation or money back.

Did you do a back-up as per the @Tony L.'s post and initial guide? If yes and your IMEI is backed up then there should be a way to restore the 2nd IMEI.

AFAIK its being looked at as Tony L has pulled the link to the guide already.

If you did not do a back up as was instructed, then hopefully OnePlus will still be able to resolve the issue but they cannot be blamed if you did not read the instructions.

There is a bug report on this already https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/downgrade-tool-to-3-1-0-destroys-2nd-imei.480848/
So I am merging this thread with that one. Click the star button to follow the thread for updates

@SoniaB could you quote the proper backup steps from the official downgrade procedure? I have it still open, (can send it to you) but can't find any steps which perform a backup... Only sentence regarding backup it this one:
"*** Before flashing, please perform a full backup of your data."
This clearly refers to your user data and not imei2 backup.

It is increadible that after the h2os imei2 fiasco oneplus repeated it again with oos. Unfortunately, it seems like they don't care at all about their customers or it is their tactics to kill off op2 to boost op3 sales.

there's no mention about backup of IMEI, it clearly says says backup your data before downgrading, which we did, but still the IMEI gets deleted.. hope the fix will come soon..

why should we pay for some problem which is caused by their end ? It was their flash tool which deleted the IMEI..

I only looked at the tool briefly prior to it being pulled and saw that it said to do a back-up. Of course yes, with what happened with H2OS and loss of IMEI 2, it should have been stated (as a safeguard) to do a full back up of IMEI as well. I cannot speak for OnePlus and why they did not suggest IMEI back-up as well nor indeed if they had even tested the tool to see if IMEI loss occurred.

Its their mess to sort out just now and hopefully we will get a response asap.

How come they don't read their own forum?

This is exactly what I asked you to ask oneplus to do in november:
    https://forums.oneplus.net/posts/15420776/
Let's hope they can sort it out now...

what if someone didn't flash h2os? maybe they got the ota, updgeaded to 3.5.5, faced network drops and downgraded to 3.1.0 using the flash tool and lost imei..
