Received my Oneplus 6 today and guess what ? Its a half baked product ! All my excitement shattered !

I always use dual sim cards in my phones ! In this case one is a Airtel sim and the other one is a Idea Sim card ! Both apparently Don't have Volte yet !

If i choose Sim 1 for data i am completely loosing signal on the second sim card and vice versa !

    This is absolutely irritating !

Can someone confirm me if oneplus 6 supports Dual 4g connection ? i.e 4G network mode on both sim slots at the same time ?

Why isn't there a option to choose network mode For each individual sim slot ?

Anybody else facing the same issue ?

Android P Beta or just plain oxygenos?

VoLTE is still listed as not working for the beta.

OP6 support LTE on not slots. But the phone is dual SIM dual standby so if the other similar gets a call the other will drop it's connection

There is no beta build for OP6

The Android P is a developer preview with many things.broken.

Haven't got my OP6 just yet but talking from OP5 I can tell you that has always been the case. realistically though, struggling to see why would you need two simultaneous 4g connections? It's like having two data cables plugged in at the same time, only one will actually work.

As for the signal on one of the sims, that is curious. Unless you lost signal on that particular network, struggling to see why it would disappear. Aside from my comments above, you may have found a bug in there. Sounds obvious but double check your Sim settings to make sure something has not been accidentally disabled and/or try the sim without signal in another phone if you have one.

Mine is incoming on 29th and I got two sims on the same network. will see how it deals with them in UK.

I am not asking for dual 4g standby ! When i choose sim one for data why does the network on Sim 2 is lost completely ? The sim is enabled ! There is no doubt regarding that !

Just a question since I am hoping to use 2 sims.
If I am on 4G on sim 1 but not in a voice call, can sim 2 receive calls/SMS at least? (i don't care about not having 2 4G connections at the same time)

It is normal. Should you have used the search function, you would know the answer. Good luck.

should not happen. reviewers on youtube has already tested it. its a true dual 4g phone. that is both sim will be active at a time. you can watch video on "Gadgets to Use" youtube channel

I believe those who are saying to search are misunderstanding the issue, though the OP's tone does not help.

It would seem that OP understands that only one SIM can utilize data at a time, but his issue is that whichever SIM has data (for explanations sake, SIM1) - the other SIM is disconnected completely (i.e., SIM 2 has no signal, can't make calls, etc.). FWIW, this is not how it's intended to work.

You could try removing the SIMs, rubbing the card between your fingers (applies oil from your fingers to the pins on the SIM) and reseating them. Past that, you probably have a bad unit and should reach out to support.
