When I'm at home in the UK my dual sim works fine with ee and vodafone.

Whenever I'm abroad, the Vodafone sim never works at all. I had this problem with my oneplus 3 also. I'm not sure what the issue is.

This issue has happened in various countries so isn't localised to one place

Does anyone else have this issue?

The Vodafone sim is a work sim and work tells me it's enabled.

Its checked its enabled on the phone. Everyone now and then it connects for 1 min or so and disconnects

That's a carrier problem... I too have the same issue with Vodafone... When I'm international roaming, it barely connects to network... Oneplus is to blame for it for not dying up youth other vendors to provide network of its own network is unavailable..

Could you explain why oneplus is to blame? Not sure i understand.
What do you mean a carrier problem also? All over Europe in lots of large cities I've had this problem. Vodafone operates all over Europe.

Have you tried switching the Sims around when roaming ? I had this problem as well, my EE connected but my TMobile wouldn't. So I switched the Sims around, rebooted made sure roaming was turned on on both and it connected.

I had Vodafone before and never had a problem with it connecting in the States.

I tried this also including just trying vodafone sim on its own.
It must be a vodafone issue if no one else seems to be affected. Maybe roaming is not activated even though it says it is. I have even logged in to my online vodafone account to confirm its activated

How old is the sim card? Some people with issues have resolved them by getting a new one

I've managed to resolve it. After many calls to Vodafone this morning it seems there are two levels of roaming locks.

One is at account level which is what there customer service team can see. After various calls which involved hard resetting my phone they eventually put me from to a technical team.

The technical team said there is another level of roaming lock which is only visable to them. They fixed the second lock and now my phone is finding the network. They were unable to explain why on a business line this lock was there.

Anyway its now finally fixed. Hopefully won't have to call them again as it's very time consuming.

Or have I. General corporate incompetence.

Two years I've been using my personal phone abroad as everyone was saying everything is set up correctly. Only now did I find the time while abroad to actually resolve it.
