Dual Sim Update via OnePlus 8 Pro

    Apparently this will not happen now, nobody says anything about enabling the sim, and this is disrespectful to the consumer, they promised to enable it but they have not done anything. the safest when they have the next cell phone ready for the public will enable Dual Sim.

    Last Oneplus phone here for sur. it's been more than a month ! (crazy) This is totaly unacceptable. All my family have a OnePlus phone and this will be the last. The Canadian price is insane, they just sell a Dual SIM phone which is actually totaly not ! And hope no one will say "there was warning or information about that on the website". Nop, not clear at all !

    North American customers deserve better.

    Canadian customers deserve better.

    Add this big issue to the fact that there is only english unilingual customer service in a country which is officialy bilingual. Too much for me.

    Maybe OnePlus is waiting for some content on YouTube or on social media to move and give the service that people paid for.

    Really upset.

    I'm still waiting for them to reactivate it. as I have no dual SIM functionality at all. My networks at 4g LTE only. please fix it now. I spent $1000 and can't use one of my major features why I stick with one plus!

    Dual SIM at all, does not work for my phone and both my carriers are 4g LTE only. I have owned every OnePlus phone except for the OnePlus x and 7t. Please fix it

    OnePlus does not face the problem, and I see it as a lack of respect for users, they do not care that we buy equipment with 2simcard and they do not work, for more warnings they gave they promised that they would enable it but they do not give dates for the areglo. They must face the problem and speak clearly to us because they have not done anything with this.

    I’ve moved on from OnePlus. Never again will I own one of their phones. They forced me back to the iPhone! Worst service and total lack of respect for their customers.

    Strange. Works fine for me here; my (IN2023, European version) has been running stable in Dual-SIM 4G/LTE mode since I got it some weeks ago. I can call out and receive calls on both SIM cards. Also does VoLTE and VoWiFi as needed on both SIM cards.

    Yes, there isn't an issue with dual-sim on European versions. The issue is with North America users. That only adds to the frustration!

    I have chatted with Support via web and even called. They said the same thing to me each time, "it'll will be fixed in the next update" but nothing ever changes.

    Yes i would love to have Dual Sim working in america but i would really love to be able to use VOWIFI. it sucks having verizon and cant use VOWIFI wheni am out the country.

    Got my 8 Pro today. Was one of the one's that didn't read all the info even though I watched several YouTube reviews and not a single person said anything about the 2nd sim not working due to technical difficulties. Anyway got my 8 Pro today and got the UPS return label a couple hours later. So long OnePlus been with you since the 1st phone but not feeling the love anymore.

    the nice red package, the propaganda and BS inside is irrelevant if you can't deliver on the basic... dual SIM
    it's a POS and reading all the comments from the "support" team in north america is pathetic! how can you work for a company like that and protect the lies and false ads... it's somehow hilarious to read the comments from the "tech" OP team

    I didn't do anything; just worked out-of-the-box for me.

    From this thread, it appears that the European version supports this (IN2023) but maybe not (all) other versions.

    I rec'd notification yesterday and ran an OS update last night. I'm now on Oxygen OS 10.5.10.IN21AA. The info provided never stated anything about the dual-simm problem being resolved. And in fact, the problem has not been resolved. After rebooting the phone I still receive the message "Please insert the designated SIM card to be enabled in SIM slot 1".

    I have 2 nano-simms already inserted with only 1 working. I was given a temporary phone number assignment on the other SIM - which is still not being recognized. How long will that number remain active if it's not being used I don't know. But unless I'm missing something, the dual-simm functionality is still broken on my North American phone.
