SRD. , Dec 1, 2020 : Merge contact works. What issue did you face ??? The contact duplicacy is because of synchronisation of so many systems & applications. Selecting and deleting Oneby one is a very high time consuming job. Plz let me know why merge contacts is not of help.

MRTLima , via OnePlus 7T , Dec 3, 2020 : I did not have the same problem. I selected all my google contacts and copy them to OnePlus contacts. Than I erased all the ones from google contacts and refuse the permission to sincronize. Then, I only save new contacts at OnePlus contacts, I mean direct on the phone. It may help you. I have no problems like yours.
