Dust on Screen Protector

I've never not faced an issue of not having to wipe my phone screen off. I wipe mine off multiple times everyday. Your issue isn't an issue at all. It's ridiculous.

I got the skinomi screen protector and it stays cleaner much longer. I didn't mind the pre-installed protector but now that I've experienced a much better one, I don't think I want to ever go back. I went from wiping my phone off over ten times a day to once or twice. I never had any screen protectors on prior phones so I don't know how normal it is, but that pre-installed one certainly got grimy quickly.

got the same issue. quite embarrassing as well when showing off my new device to friends! lol so I guess it has to do with the pre installed screen protector. any advice on which one to get next?

It doesn't seem so dusty now so maybe that problem only applies to new 6ts and eventually wears off

Interesting I had this issue with third party screen protectors but not with the oneplus' official one.

You obviously don't own the phone or you would understand. The amount of dust is unreal. I never in my life have seen more dust than what is on this phone. It's way worse than the pictures here. It's absolutely ridiculous. I too want to take it off, but fear I'll never get one on as well. The dust drives me crazy.

I do own the phone. I preordered it. I got it and put a tempered glass on it.

So was it necessary to revive a dead thread just to tell someone they're wrong?

Took mine off the OnePlus 6, not because of dust, but because of greasy fingerprints. As a general rule, I don't like screen protectors anyway, but this was the worst I had ever seen. Maybe if I had put a little dust on my fingers I could have eliminated the greasy fingerprint smudges. ;):D

I'm certainly not worthless, but thank you for your input.

I own the 6T as well and still have the original screen protector on it. Sure there's dust, but dust really isn't a huge issue and it's not difficult to clean off with a simple wipe from my microfiber cloths or even my shirt. If you think that doesn't work well enough, you're more than free to either sell your phone and buy a different one or remove the screen protector to avoid the dust issues (I hear it's mostly just the plastic screen protector causing problems).

It's never necessary to bump an old thread, just so we're clear. But such a bump could be justified when you have a solution to present to a fairly recent problem that hasn't yet been solved. There's no reason to revive an old thread simply to tell someone they're wrong or that they're worthless.
