    Ambient Display is not, smoothly turns on and off like led notification

    One plus 7 also doesn't has any notification light, wish they provide some future update to the device with thia horizontal lines or display light up things to know that we missed a notification. As of now one plus 7 doesn't support any notification lights.

    Gonna make Super friendly and Super User Accessible to their notifications, more intuitive way to see and interact, communicate with the respected applications and with its data, All at a eye of Glance, that's All. The ability to change the color of the edge lighting is going to be more Important and need to become and make this feature more user-friendly.

    Not sure about other OP devices(without notch) but OP team can roll out an update with notification light effect for all OP phones with a notch on screen. I have a OP 7T so probably a thin colorful line (colors can be adjusted manually) flashing in U shape just below the notch would be a great idea. This would not consume battery to a huge extent.

    I see no relation at all between AOD and Edge lighting, Horizon Lights, Notch Lights, etc,. They are just different things with different purposes. And that's why the adoption of the AOD idea cannot be a justification to hold-on or not implement one simple Light notification function.
    I do not use Ambient Display and I'll not use AOD either as I have more to do than keeping my nose over the phone.
    However I would like to know when there's some notification without having to wake up my phone, and I can't because my 6T doesn't have the basic: - a simple notification LED !
    So the implementation of a whatever Light notification system is something that OnePlus should have offered to their clients since the moment the LED removal decision was taken.

    If made correctly this is something that can mimic RGB notification led, even when laying with screen downwards on 7 Pro... The trend of notchless and thin bezels does not leave room for real leds and needs solutions like Horizon Light. I rather use Horizon Light than AOD. But right now Horizon Light is not really usable for me.

    If it only blinks once and I'm not looking strait at it and the phone is silent and no vibration on... It needs some refinement to be useful to me

    Well OnePlus 7 pro is beautiful in every regards, especially the display, I love it[e]1f618[/e][e]1f525[/e].

    But particularly I'm a OP7 user and I really want that edge lightning on my device or even AOD (Always ON Display)
    any one of these features would be great for my device.

    Hope OnePlus will work on providing these features🤞
