    The funny thing , OnePlus didn't fix this issue in all updates they been sending in the 7 or 8 months.

    I reached them again on Twitter OnePlus support with no luck .

    I would appreciate every one to send OnePlus an update request for the 5G and the VoLTE issues to be fixed .

    It is very easy to fix it really .

    I think you misunderstood my post. I said that it's really embarrassing for a random user (not a OnePlus developer) to fix a bug when it was OnePlus' fault.

    Oneplus 8 and 8 pro seems to be abandoned as 8T is out and 9 is coming, very frustrated. I reported no 5G connection to their team several times in several ways, the only respond I got is the automatic reply said I need to submit log, screenshot blar blar blar, it is quite annoying. I think NO one in the oneplus team will listen to us.

    I don't think their technical team will use oneplus phone as their everyday phone either.

    Hi mate, I've seen your work-around on a few threads now as been experiencing this problem with 5G on Three. Are you able to confirm that it works on the 7 Pro 5G? I've tried your method a few times now (I think I'm doing it perfectly) but to no avail. Might need to switch to EE, but three are providing unlimited data for £16 which is much better than EE can do!

    EDIT: Sorry, I realise this is the thread for Android 11, but I have been using your original Android 10, method.

    Hi, I have a OnePlus 8T, using it with Etisalat UAE. I too face the same problem. Don't get 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi on my device. You mentioned you too have 8T, is 5G, VoLTE available for you after you made the changes?
    I had contacted OnePlus enormous times for this, but their response for getting an OTA update fix for this is very lukewarm.
    What software version & model no. you have?
    Please help.

    I've already made a thread about this but I found 'Smarty 5G' was stopping me from getting 5G when I needed it and even forcing my phone into 3G so I switched it off and its working as normal now

    A large area close to where I live just added 5G coverage. I went there yesterday and could not get a 5G signal at all. I then found this forum post and installed the drivers manually. Still no 5G. The networks is Three UK. I contacted them and they said everything was enabled their end. Interestingly, when I gave my phone make/model to them (OP 8 Pro IN2023) they gave me some instructions on how to enable on the phone rather than tell me it wasn't available.

    I noticed that with the OOS build, 5G was available as an automatic option. Would this indicate that the drivers are now built in to the latest firmware? Either way, I installed the drivers using this method anyway and it all seemed to work OK, but still no 5G, so I'm guessing that, despite 5G showing on Three's coverage map, it may not be enabled just yet. I am going to another area today (Belfast, UK) to see if it works there.

    Note that I have tried both NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA and NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA modes.

    Is there an easy wat to see if the phone is actively scanning for 5G coverage? I'm using an app called Network Cell Info Lite which gives me a lot of info on the mast I am connected to. It hasn't once flicked to 5G unfortunately.

    I will let you know how further testing goes later today.
