Is this in the same area? I was out today trying again, this time in Newtownabbey area (near Belfast) and still nothing. I even tried my BT Mobile SIM and still no luck. I don't know what is happening here but it is ridiculous that this isn't supported out of the box.

Is IN2020 the UK model? I bought mine off Amazon and despite it saying nowhere on the description it was an EU model, it arrived with an EU charger. I complained about it and they gave me a nice discount, so I just bought a UK charger and thought no more about it. I didn't think I would have to jump through these loopholes.

Can anyone confirm, was 5G missing completely from the firmware? Reason I say is, before I installed the Qualcomm drievrs using this method, I could set my SIM to Auto 3G/4G/5, so not sure if there is something else going on. Interestingly, I did not have Gcarrier_policy.xml_Subscription01 in my configuration to delete. I presume this is for the second SIM?

I'm soon to be testing how 5G will work with your method (will have to upgrade my plan) but speaking of VoLTE/VoWIFI - I just had to contact my mobile plan provider (Play, POLAND) and ask if they could enable those features on my phone number. Now it just works as intended without playing around with LogKit.

Thanks for this. Does anyone know if this will work to connect to the Three 5G network in Ireland? I have a oneplus Nord. Three have told me they are in discussion with OnePlus to get it working but with no timeline.

Hey @jhoon_09, thanks for the awesome work you're putting in for the community!

I did every step as you mentioned, however i couldn't find "carrier_policy.xml_Subscription01" in the policyman list.

So what i did is i deleted the original "carrier_policy.xml" and replaced it with the one you uploaded as instructed. And then added the "carrier_policy.xml_Subscription01" file you uploaded to the list.

After that, because i have a OP 8 Pro (IN2020), i manually enabled "NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA" as instructed.

This is how it looks like now: ⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇

I can't seem to catch any 5g signal even when the area I'm in is covered.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I am sorry to hear that it didn't work for you .

You can install Cell Mapper in your phone to check the signal .

    Thanks for your reply!

I downloaded the app and what I'm seeing that is different from the screenshot you uploaded is that my "5g state" is restricted for some reason.

That could mean your SIM card or contract doesn't have/ support 5G !
so the steps did work with your phone .. because if you tried the app before doing the steps , you will not see 5G at all .

i have an op 8 pro in2023 Europe.
I tried the process and came to the situation that it show in the first line a random number with "?" the number do not iclude 855 in it.
And in the second line it show only "?"
When I run efs I do not get "carrier_policy.xml_Subscription01 but only carrier_policy.xml
    What to do?

It takes professional people to do all this.
No one can do all this procedure sought 5g service.
ThisThis doesn't happen on any other phone... This doesn't happen on any other phone...
The manufacturer has to find a solution and send a special update to solve a problem
This is the beginning of the fall.

This worked for me - OP8t
    Telus carrier

had no 5g after last update, telus has no clue, they dont even know what a oneplus is.

there was no carrier_policy.xml_Subscription01 file, so i copied it anyways
    replaced carrier_policy file
    5g is back

this workaround does bring back 5g, however i think its on oneplus to correct in an update properly
