    Hello,
i moved today from Samsung S10 plus to OnePlus 7T.
I really wanted to know how can i turn on hotspot automatically while I'm connected with Bluetooth to my car multimedia.
    Thanks for your help.

Well, I had the same issue after switch the same from S10 to OnePlus.
What you describe is with the help of Bixby Routines, which is not available on OnePlus of course.
So you just have to open Bluetooth, then Hotspot.
At least I haven't found an "workaround" for this.

Although only a few people actually use Bixby Routines, I found them very helpful.

So, I tried Macrodroid. It's really easy to create a macro for what you're looking for ie.

Your hotspot should automatically turn on when your Bluetooth connects to your car.

Anyone got this to work on Oneplus 8 Pro?
Tried with Macrodroid and some widgets/apps. Worked perfectly on OP5 with Android 10 but now I am stucked. Nothing happens when a toggle is requested. System Access has been granted.

Can Bluetooth tethering (Settings > Wifi and network > Hotspot and tethering) do away with the need to enable a Wifi hotspot?
I am also an ex-Samsung (S6) user but the Hyundai Access Point app does not work with the OnePlus 8.

There are some earlier posts with a solution using Tasker

    Tried Tasker too.

Have you tried Bluetooth tethering which if it works for you could do away with the need for a physical connection?

I can only connect to my cars infotainment system via WiFi tethering.

Guess I have to handle this manually as I am not gonna root the phone.
