Open Beta 5 came after Stable makes the OB5 newer so you cannot flash over it. Wait for a new Stable release then.

I've never tried downgrading then using KeepData apk yet to retain all datas so I wouldn't recommend it.

Sorry, was that a good thing or a bad thing? I really have no idea coz I dont use it😅.

If you want how Canvas on Stable build should be, just reflash the Stable again. Since you are already on Stable build, your data will not get wiped automatically anymore.

To be honest I also don't use it and find it even useless but for sure there's people that like it so I thought why not mention it here.

By the way, since I changed to bug stable now my system storage is showing 58Gb. What a waste of good storage, been checking for days, weeks, months but nothing really useful nor working found to reduce this shit.

Amazing how fast it eats away perfect storage space...

Shows clearly how much they care about us users... They have our money in the pocket and we have decent hardware left but that's also the only thing we have left now.

Anyway time to move on and forget 1 OPPO plus. They don't care about us anyway, only that matters anymore is $$$

Really, This is absolutely unfair for 7t series. 7t series is latest and recent model than from 7 series. Then why they closes beta for both series at same time.

This is really unfair, bad luck for 7t series users. Huge disappointment....

Man! That was the best OnePlus related news I read in months (maybe challenged only by the new unofficial TWRP for 7T).
I just successfully updated from OB5 to keeping root and my data (update->Magisk->KeepData). For the moment all works fine. We'll see in the next days if there are any hidden problems due to unsupported update process.

    You are most welcome 😁

Don't worry, all will work as it should. If when in doubt, just reflash the update again. You won't be needing keepdata app this time anymore coz you are already on Stable. Surely you know how to re-root so this won't be a hassle.

This is what I always do after doing the keepdata method just to be sure all update properties are installed or flashed correctly.

Good point. I just flashed it again (yes, I kept root:) ).
I'm glad I delayed the decision to move to stable until now and saved myself all the hassle of clean flash.
    Thanks again!

We'll, it's just been one day, so not very conclusive, but I'm quite happy with the result. Battery life *seems* slightly better, phone runs smoothly and I haven't noticed any unexpected problems till now. More days / charging cycles needed to make sure.

Hi All, I recently took a 7T pro and the Android version is showing 11, however the Build number is 02_Beta_5.
So, will the stable Oxygen OS 11.0.2 will come automatically as OTA or do I have to do anything?

So you installed a beta build, and it doesn't work no big deal surely? This is a beta for testing purposes, file the requisit feedback and then rollback to stable build.

To switch back to stable version, you have to get A10 stable then update it to A11 stable of you want.
Keep in mind that every time you switch between the two channels,it would erase everything in your phone,so back up first before you do anything.
