    Just rename the file to twrp and not to twrp.img. It worked for me.

    I'm in the same position. Renamed without the .img and all seemed well but when I reboot to recovery it's still stock! Any ideas?

    First of all, complete this checklist,

    1. Have you unlocked bootloader using "fastboot oem unlock" command?
    2. Post the result of "fastboot oem device-info".
    3. No need to rename any file, you can just drag and drop the recovery file after this "fastboot flash recovery your recovery image".
    4. Boot into recovery by "fastboot boot your recovery image" (drag and drop here also).

    Edit: It's solved, try to make sure that your file is in the same directory as the file written in the command prompt:)

    Did you rename the img ? If you named it
    myrom.img then you need to push myrom.img.img

    SOLVED instead of typing \cd and the file directory just right click and open command prompt from folder and flash

    I have the problem solved! It should be a shortcut in your android sdk but i shouldn't be a shortcut but the original file, go to your downloads, cut your twrp file and past it to your android sdk. I hope this works for you :) it worked by me btw. {sorry for bad english}
