    Hey, thanks for the tag.

@loochek, I checked this with the software team. These assets are part of the Haptic Feedback enhancement feature that is present since the 7 Series. These images are used to identify in-game items and then generate haptic feedback accordingly. You can find this option under Games - Settings - Haptic feedback enhancement.

Probably because you have a game installed (or previously installed) that used these assets?

No the guns are all similar to those in pubg i think those images are from those games i don't know about read only maybe it's because is in read only to ensure that those files should not be tampared with, to maintain fair play of the game.

I actually just checked, these files are also present on my GF's 8T, and I know for a fact she doesn't play PUBG or had it ever installed. It's indeed a bit strange that these files are present.

@dsmonteiro can you maybe enlighten us on why these files are baked into oxygenOS? I did not see them anywhere in the user interface.....

Indeed, the format and size of the files makes it suggest that they're used as icons in a "kill feed" in a game... but then again.... no shooters present on that device

Then maybe it is present to optimise the game i don't remember it perfectly but i think OnePlus did something with pubg maybe it was 90hrz support for the screen or something to do with Frame rates i don't remember it quite well

Maybe, but these kind of thumbnails would be strange for that....
It's not that the files take up a lot of space, it's just the fact that they're there without an explanation ;)

Beware you anti OnePlus peepal, your device can shoot you through those speaker grills if you speak against OnePlus.

Jokes aside, I believe it has something to do with probable bloat integrated or yet to be integrated.

I assume it's related to the optimizations baked in for that game for the 90hz on those devices?

Edit reading the whole thread yeah... makes no sense they are there at first sight to me either...

But they're just PNG's.. very confused how that would help with that... Even then, I would assume it's in the apps' download, not the root of the device.

The playstore does offer device specific download packages....

There is also a bullets folder which contains number images probably for a bullet counter of some sort. Maybe dev was working on a game and accidently committed their images into the build
