    Still. It won't probably work. I mean, other users have already asked the same type of question for HDMI connectivity and if I remember right, they told it didn't work. But you're welcome to try : it's the only way you'll know for sure.

    I understand what an adapter is
    you have internet on the phone and you want to give internet to which device

    in amazon you find a thousand devices
    some may be compatible and some are not compatible

    No, the OnePlus 6 and i think every other OnePlus device does not support ethernet in OxygenOS.
    The feature could be enabled with a different kernel. It's only software that doesn't allow ethernet.
    Obviously you need an adapter for ethernet.

    The HDMI out functionality that was also mentioned is only supported on the OnePlus 7 and newer. This includes the Pro and non-Pro models. A different software like a kernel can't fix this.
