But what could they be thinking to modify the CE logo, that's just beyond retarded. Anybody with any legal background knows that, and I'm assuming they have some legal reps behind them :-??

Please, post a photo of the final state of the backcover when you fix the CE mark to see how it looks.

why is the CE icon on the back cover in the first place? Many phone with removable back cover have the CE icon inside the phone as a sticker, hence eliminate the need for any redesigning altogether

Maybe they don't need to send units back to China to swap the back covers. Maybe they can do it in Germany, or not...

The phones didn't get into Germany. Customs wouldn't accept them, so they were immediately returned to OnePlus.

if i'm not mistaken the opo doesn't have a back removable cover.it's a monoblock and technically you can not swap the battery.

it has a non-removeable battery, but it does have a removable back cover. They will be selling different designed back-cover as accessories at later stage.

so I can't really understand why they choose to have the CE logo modified, rather than put it as a sticker inside the removable cover.

German customs suck! i hope OnePlus is faster then Pebble. Back in that days it got delayed 6 month because of some formal mistakes by Pebble. I waited 1,5 years (!!!!) for my Pebble.
Good luck this is not a Kickstarter campaign, where you have allready payed your stuff.
