Do you know the one event that everyone in phoneland looks forward to, but couldn’t happen last year?
It’s Google’s I/O! And now they’re back (virtually, but it's better in some ways).

Google I/O is a three-day event where they get to show off all the new things they’re bringing to their platform, and where they unveil the latest and greatest versions of Chrome and Android.

A personally memorable moment for me was from the 2018 edition of the event when Sundar Pichai demonstrated Google Assistant’s new Duplex feature by making it call a hair salon to book an appointment. ON ITS OWN.

Well, the good news is that after canceling the event completely due to the coronavirus, Google is coming back with a bang in 2021. They’ve updated their page a few hours ago and there is a unique puzzle to solve as well.

I/O 2021 Save the Date Experience

For those of you who do not want to solve the puzzle, the dates of the event are 18, 19, 20 May 2021.

While Google has streamed these launch events previously as well, you had to pay to attend these events in person. Now, however, Google has made the event FREE. This should benefit a large number of enthusiasts who didn’t have the time or money to schedule a trip to the Googleplex and also pay for the trip. The best part is that even reserved content like workshops and technical sessions will be free, but interested participants will have to register in advance.

So what does the event look like?

What do you look forward to the most from Google I/O 2021? Are you planning to register? Let me know in the comments below!
