I noticed recently that my OnePlus tv model Q1 becomes really hot from the bottom even when its not run for too long. Moreover only the bottom part heats while the rest of the tv remains at room temperature even if used for hours.

Is this a normal thing ??

    Hello there.

I have noticed it too but I think it's fairly normal as the Bottom part of the TV has a 50 W Dolby Atmos Speaker. I mean that's really a huge one & I guess the heating is only because of that mainly. But still if you have any doubt, please contact the OnePlus Customer Support & let us all know here on the Community.

Thanks for writing in the OnePlus Community..

    Regards,
    Ayush

    Hey,
I have checked and yes the bottom part is generally warm compared to the rest of the TV. But are you facing really high temperatures at the bottom, if so let us know.

Hi... I have enquired with the team and as there is a light bar placed at the bottom for the Back lighting of the panel, it gets hotter compared to the other portion of the TV and it seems the difference in temperature is normal.

There isn't a heating issue as one of the above posts that you seem to have ignored states there is a light bar at the bottom of the TV for backlighting and it's normal for it to be hotter then the rest of the TV.

There's air vents in a tv for a reason.... To remove heat.

Amazon knowingly delays the replacement period to skip it from replacement. That's unfair !

U1 Series design as they made everything to fit at the bottom part, the heat generates automatically as you can see the back panel of the TV is sealed entirely. Lack of air vents on the back panel and facing them downwards is making bezel warm. But at the same time you won't notice anything on the LED panel. Might be software process upon usage is making it heat flawlessly.

Was your TV still under the replacement period of Amazon? If so, you can ask for a replacement, if not the general procedure is to replace the faulty parts.
