Here’s what’s happening:
One July 21, 2020 we will be unveiling OnePlus Nord - the newest addition to our smartphone lineup. But we’ve got something special in store. For the first time ever, we’re launching a new device in an AR setting. The VR experience with the OnePlus 2 launch probably rings a bell. But this time, we’re stepping things up and going all out with AR. This helps us explore a whole new way of bringing you the OnePlus Nord experience. By making use of AR technology, we can help you check out the OnePlus Nord from the safety of your homes.
The OnePlus Nord AR launch can be experienced through the OnePlus Nord AR App available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The launch event will take place at 7:30 pm IST, July 21
Using the OnePlus Nord AR App:
- Download the OnePlus Nord AR App.
- Install the app and accept permissions necessary for the AR experience.
- Launch the app and follow instructions to set up your avatar and the app.

OnePlus Nord Pre-order drop for India
OnePlus Nord pre-orders will begin on Amazon.in from 15th July onwards for INR 499. Upon pre-ordering, users will receive a surprise giftbox containing limited edition merchandise from OnePlus. Pre-order customers who also purchase the device by 31st August, will be eligible to a second gift box containing OnePlus Bullets Wireless and a phone cover.

[OnePlus Nord AR Invite Launch Update]
As part of the launch experience, we’ve designed a special invitation which makes up for a hands on experience of OnePlus Nord through AR. This will be available 11th July onwards on Amazon.in for INR 99.

Using the OnePlus Nord AR launch invitation
- Download the OnePlus Nord AR App
- Install the app and accept permissions necessary for the AR experience
- Scan the QR code on the invite to initiate the WEB AR experience. You can scan the QR code with your native camera app (on Android versions 9 and 10), Google Lens, or any QR code scanner
- After you load the WEB AR experience, scan the AR invitation to go hands-on with the upcoming OnePlus Nord device

Watching the AR launch using the AR App on launch day
- Open the OnePlus Nord AR App at 7.30 PM IST on 21st July 2020
- Follow the instructions on-screen to start the immersive AR experience
- Make sure you have a good internet connection to have a consistent AR streaming experience.
