I prefer the actual bar, but i want to be able to hide it. I just noticed on the swipe feature it gives the option to hide the bottom bar, which isn't even there. Is there a bug not giving that option when selecting to use the navigation bar?

Choose Navigation Bar (left and right) and the option "Hide bottom bar" is visible and tappable. Is so on my 6 running 11.1.1.1.

I can use that as a workaround, i guess, but it's so inefficient. The actual navigation bar is better for app management, but it's ugly, uses too much screen real estate, and gives really bad burn in.
All they need to do is add back in the option to hide the original navigation bar. It's been on oxygenOS for years, and worked perfectly.

There's never any ETAs given for any device ever. It'll come when it comes, that's the official answer.

I do like the design of this. It's light, bright and easy to follow/use still. I can't say the beta is completely smooth but it's better than the previous developer builds. But....

How about enable all notifications on the status bar in OxygenOS 12 (ColorOS) from the jump and let the consumer turn off what they don't want. Last time I checked, we are using our phone, not OnePlus. I left Oppo for this exact situation. I missed important messages and alerts.

Also, the app drawer looks messy. The simple icons without a sidebar was more than enough. Only 4 across? Makes the drawer too long. Can we get an option to select the appearance at least? ColorOS wasn't too much on customization but if it's a combination of both and the custom options are being carried over mostly, why not keep it going? This is OnePlus bread and butter.

Why enable more camera features when the quality isn't much better? Snapdragon 888 is all about machine learning and AI enhancements. Now is the time to employ your research and development across two (related) companies.

As beautiful as this can be, OnePlus/Oppo is already leaving do much on the table. I love my OnePlus 9 Pro. The hardware features are on par with the bigger companies. The software experience is an already sweet experience. There is a huge opportunity here. Please at least consider your fan base.

Look isn't bad...... Software consistency and OS specific problems from ColorOS is what's terrible. Could be beta problems, could be ColorOS issues. Don't know at the moment.

I'm open to trying it but OnePlus is not making a good case for their survival.

    Hi,
I updated mine last night and have now lost all my app media files.

Most concerned about all my WhatsApp chat media which held important memories between family and friends which has all been wiped clear but also videos and pictures for work as well.

Is there any way to recover these now? There was no warning that this update would delete files!
