Face unlock attempts suggestion

It's purely a software game. OnePlus already does it when you try to use face unlock a certain number of times. The only difference they have to do know is simply not allow people to click back on the face to use the face unlock again. Even then, it will require a fingerprint or patter/passcode if you try to reuse it so often.

You're doing it in the wrong section then. https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback is where you wanna be.

Crapple has a 3d or something (don't follow their devices) camera plus extra hardware just for face id hence why it's secure unlike facelock.. And the only software comment, have you any idea the cost to develop anything close to face id would be?
Far too much for oneplus to take on...

After 50 years, we will have under-display DNA unlock, you just need to spit on your phone screen.

I actually see his point. Apple made it actually secure to the point if it fails enough times it'll disable itself. OnePlus' implementation of face unlock isn't very secure since it's just using the front-facing camera to match various points on the user's face and is easily fooled. It's only meant as a convenience feature, not a valid biometric option.

    Hi,

I get what you mean, and the truth is that if Oneplus software already does it, probably it accepts way more attempts that some users would like to have. :p I guess that if we could have a toggle to adjust that number of attempts before asking for a pin code of Fingerprint could be a nice add on to the software. And most would be happy to have it.

Use the feedback section, and lets see if someone from Oneplus might consider it. :)
