Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 17, 2022 : After updated to android 12 C.40 the Face unlock is not working properly in low light. While we use in android 11 the Face unlock work great even it was dark it works but in this in light also it takes time to unlock. Plzz fix this i hope some more users feel this.
Aaron2017 , Jan 17, 2022 : There is the "brighten screen in dim light" setting in settings>password and security>face Check if that's enabled, and if not enabling that should help with face unlock in low light
Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 18, 2022 : Now i am not able to set a face lock only it can't detected my face in full light in daytime also😂😂
Aaron2017 , Jan 18, 2022 : You can't add face data to set up face unlock again? Or you can but it doesn't work?
Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 18, 2022 : Yeah i m not able to set up face unlock it can't detect my face
Aaron2017 , Jan 18, 2022 : Face unlock is a bit buggy in OxygenOS 12. You can try to force stop face unlock>clear its cache and storage data and reboot the phone, see if it'll work then. This has fixed it for some
Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 18, 2022 : Done still not working i am attaching a screen recording video for this check
Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 18, 2022 : Here it is plzz check this out. https://drive.google.com/file/d/17btaBeD6LUsu7AxHBsQeWWHsSBSNE0XX/view?usp=drivesdk
Aaron2017 , Jan 18, 2022 : Oh, you can't even get to the part where you can add your face data. You can try to clear cache if the launcher, clear cache and storage data of face unlock again and after all that reboot the phone. I had problems with face unlock too in beta 1 of OxygenOS 12, i got to the set up page to add face data but it didn't do anything. I force stopped and cleared cache and storage data for face unlock quite a few times (don't remember exactly how many times) and i got it working again that way
Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 18, 2022 : Okk but plzz add this issue and let OnePlus know regards this.
Aaron2017 , Jan 18, 2022 : I'm just a user, the same as you and everyone else here. If you want you can send feedback about it to OnePlus here https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/ As they would need logs of the replicated issue you would have to do it yourself since you have the issue. If the suggestions didn't help you can always try a factory reset, but if this is your only issue with the update that might not be worth doing.
Aaron2017 , Jan 19, 2022 : Did you try some of the things suggested in the above comments? Like clearing cache and storage data for face unlock for example?
Aaron2017 , Jan 19, 2022 : Yeah, i was replying to the other user who wrote a comment. Like i said, face unlock on OxygenOS 12 can be buggy for some, there are quite a few users who posted in the main update thread that it didn't workw or only works sometimes. So if nothing helped the only thing left to do is to send feedback about it i'm afraid.
Mritunjaykumar98 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 19, 2022 : Yeah i also create a bug report for this let's see
