I already noticed on my old phone (Huawei though) that there was some Facebook system apps installed,I disabled them back in time. I noticed the same on my 8 Pro, and I bet it's on more phone. I searched online and could not find any real information, found just a post about that it also is installed on some Samsung device .

I would like to know why these three Facebook system apps are installed on (probably) every Android phone, and what they do. After the name it sound like they have quest some permission or access on your phone.

    Facebook App Installer
    Facebook App Manager
    Facebook Services

    edit :
I just disabled them a couple of days ago, so it was installed and worked in the background for two ish weeks. and it was sending data in the background, not a lot but stil.

This needs more attention. They're installed on the OnePlus Nord too and cannot be removed. I'd personally go as far to say they've breached UK advertising standards. They clearly marketed the phone as having no bloatware.

Do OnePlus ever respond to the community?

Noticed the Facebook ones and disabled right away.
    Even Netflix is pre-installed.
Why do OP even mention OOS free from bloatware..

I'm very disappointed in One Plus over this. I thought they were better than this. I've had One Plus devices from their first one and this is seriously making me doubt them, which means I cannot recommend them wholeheartedly anymore. Very disappointed.

Guys a workaround probably for now.

    Remove FB
    Remove Messenger
    Disable all three FB services.
Modify settings of these three apps to NOT use wifi/background data
    Reboot
    Install FB again.

With this FB app continues to work, but these services and background data is closed.

    Else, use FB on browser.

News like this ensures that my 7T is my last oneplus. Which is a sad state of affairs, to be honest. I like the phones, I don't need or want facebook in any capacity. I also concur with the above, in that I'll no longer be able to recommend their phones any more, with out caveats.

    Hi all,

Can you please let me know if the Oneplus nord come with Facebook, facebook services and netflix pre istalled?

If it comes with bloatwares it will be a showstopper for me
    Thanks in advance

Can we please have a OnePlus experience free of big data influence.

Please let us decide if we want to install an app or not.

OnePlus seems to be going the way of Samsung, forcing us to use applications that we don't want.

Please don't force me to use Facebook or have their services on my phone.

    This is ridiculous.

I literally have a Nord and accessories in a basket as I write this.

I came to Oneplus as a result of Samsung boatware that cannot be uninstalled. To find out that you guys are no different it is saddening and quite frustrating. Facebook is the worst thing you could preinstall. This is an absolute deal breaker for me. I am keeping my 6T and will buy elsewhere instead.
    Sorry Oneplus but.....nope.....!

I've always loved oneplus for their great phones for great prices and with no bloatware. They were for the customer. As of oneplus 8 they've changed into a moneygrabbing flagship seller like Samsung. This news is the definite deal breaker for me for future oneplus phones :( one plus 7 pro will be my last.

Yep, just checked on my US 8 Pro (IN2025 on 10.5.12.IN11AA) and all three of these system apps are installed. Luckily I'm still within my return period...but sad that I have an otherwise perfect 8 Pro without a green tint issue. I've been a longtime fan of OnePlus, even back with the OPO invite system. I cannot abide by this kind of bs and will be returning my phone...Thanks for the fun OP, it was great while it lasted.

I have a 7t, my first OnePlus. I love it. However, pre installed Facebook will also mean it's my last OnePlus. I was under the impression that OnePlus listened to customers, but apparently they didn't even consider us.
