Perhaps they might have thought about it a bit earlier....

Honestly, if the Oneplus 2 had NFC capabilities or a way to build them on via upgraded cover etc., don't you think they would have mentioned this during launch?

i'm just not sure lol i really hope that's the case and that they will at least develop some kind of plan to supplement for this loss. NFC seems to be one of those things that you didn't know was that important til you lost it lol

Really? Then why not just embed an NFC chip inside the back cover and use NFC to detect the cover ? What a great Idea ,but I doubt that's what those pins are for.

Helen was very straightforward there... No NFC. doesn't mean there's no potential product or addon of some kind for in in the future (near or far)... i'm just being optimistic lol

also, that article is from 2011... it hasn't happened... ):

Like the OPO, the NFC will be integrated in the backcovers, I guess.
the NFC might be an add-on for those who buy the Styleswaps. In my opinion, this could have been the reason why the didn't include the NFC feature in the OP2.

OK you hope it, but it is not likely. According to Engadget a OnePlus spokesperson has confirmed that NFC is not built into the phone since "most users don't use NFC".

I think it's weird since mobile payments are really growing, but still, I can live without it, I'm not gonna own the phone for more than one year anyway.

I would love support for this, especially if it could be used for Android Pay.

I'm going to guess that it works by being inserted as a nano sim, since the Two will have dual sim support, you can put your carrier and that NFC nano card in as well.
