So if I were a company, why would I invest on NFC Physical SIM cards?

I still don't get why one plus didn't add a NFC feature, Even though I never used nfc because I have an iPhone (planning to buy the OP2) but it does seem interesting:)

Your carrier might have NFC built into the sim already so no need for second sim

I've been using Google wallet for tap to pay since I got my OPO many months ago.
The reason it hasn't gained popularity is because of carriers blocking google wallet in an inept attempt to get isis (not the terrorists) in place.

Everyone seems to have their nickers in a bunch over the fact that the OnePlus Two is lacking (among other things) NFC. From my little bit of research, there are NFC enabled SIM cards and, with the OnePlus Two having 2 SIM trays, there's a logically sound place to put said SIM card.

Question I have for everyone is, where do you acquire such a SIM card and how does the OS know how to treat it? I found a little article on embedded NFC technology, but no real outlets for purchasing one.

Let me know by replying if you've got any insight to add.

It will work, however there are some pitfalls, nfc enabled sim cards need to be available at your provider. besides that, it can only be used for nfc payments and not for nfc stickers, nfc speakers ect.
besides this technology exists for over 4 years but there has been no real outbreak in nfc enabled simcards.
seems pretty depressing to be. but maybe a great kickstarter idea. a purely nfc sim card?

I have searched, though I don't have time to read through all the threads that have been opened since the official launch that turn up with a search of "NFC SIM card."

Was thinking the same and probably very do-able. Shame somebody will already have a patent on that.

I don;t believe it has any OS integration. It's designed to allow the carrier to be in control of the payment process....can you guess why they want to do that yet??? 1p for the correct answer.
