it's more that i don't see the use in it... you're maybe 1 second faster in paying, but if your phone gets stolen you have to worry about the Money on your bank account? i mostly just use cash

Nope it also works on other phones. You don't have to buy it from provider. Also soon every service providers will be implementing this concept.

Agreed and i wouldnt use it for payments mainly for data transfers and show it off. I used a S3 for 3 yrs and have used NFC only 3 times so i dont really care about what it would do and what it wouldnt but tus still mice to have for a minimal cost

No your 2nd slot will not be wasted. It will work as sim as well as NFC.

yh ik i never said it will be wasted. What i meant was that even if you dont want to change your sim you can just get a new one and it'll still work just fine

    Re-read what I said.

"Additionally, the uptake is marginal compared to NFC itself. Only one UK provider as an example supports NFC Sims and you have to get a phone from them and the sim under contract."

And no, it's likely every service provider wont support it when there are other perfectly viable methods and things like APay are taking off. Unless you have a source to substantiate this wild claim, then it's nothing more than hearsay.

Not another NFC thing presently its a wast of time in england . if your so bothered tape your wireless bank card to the phone and pretend or do it the hard long drawn out way put your 4 digit no in the card reader and that's it paid . I can see the fascination tho NFC will maybe if used universally save nano seconds when your buying your coffee from your favorite vendor

This was talked about already. In america ISIS (before the middle east drama, then became soft card) was an organization supported by T-Mobile, Verizon, & AT&T to do mobile payments. The carrier's did nothing with the technology. In late 2014/early 2015 Softcard was acquired by Google and Google is implementing that technology into Android Pay.

NFC via Sim card 99% dead. things could always change as we all know.

Since almost* all smart phones have NFC built in, I don't see why this would become a reality!
