I know that officially fast charging is not supported by oneplus. But snapdragon 810 has fast charging support, so is it possible to include fast charging via software modifications?
I heard it takes 3 hours to charge

Probably, if hardware's not the problem, maybe it wil be implemented in some custom kernels :)

If the hardware has no limitations [don't think so as it is Type-C] there shouldn't be any problem, maybe they'll release an OTA

Fast charging would be useful, but with the huge battery capacity and the fact that I'll charge overnight, I don't think fast charging will be important to me.

Maybe but I think that could possibly including a different battery which would be difficult cause I don't believe the battery is removable

I made a topic on this about the oneplus one

Apparently it has the technology (oneplus one so probs the 2 aswell) but they havnt paid for the rights or licensing or whatever so they don't get it.

I mod clarified it within the topic some time ago

If there is no quick-charging, it is limited to the battery. There WILL be options later down the line.

I'm not sure that the battery is the issue here, that being said, "non-removable" batteries are still fairly easily removed, they're just a bit more of a PITA to access, but just a bit.

Don't need it if your battery last all day but would be welcome we will see soon if it will come later in an update
