_pixl_ , via OnePlus Nord Gray Onyx , Sep 6, 2020 : Ok, so several post had this problem (including me) that the amperage in warp charge never went above 2700mA. This issue is related to Ambient temperature. 1.Warp charging can only be achieved (5.5A) when you battery can successfully keep maintaining temperature 2. Between 32 -37 degrees the amps drop to 2700 mA and beyond that even further to 1800mA. So unless we are sitting in a cold environment (22-28° C) in an AC or during winters in northern parts of India. Warp charge is useless for us and expect 1800-2700 mA in Indian environment. Compare this to dash charge(which i also tried) it Either flat out charges at 1800mA or 3300mA depending on whether the device is heating or not. And for dash charge the cutoff temperature is mich higher(from observation). NOTE that on screen it will still show as warp charge even though it modulates the amperage well below depending on battery temp. Warp charge advertises a charge rate of 5.5 Amps ONLY in lab conditions. TDLR- Warp charge will mostly not work in Indian environment because of higher surrounding temperatures.
