    Hi,
I have installed Apk(Gcam) using default OnePlus "file manger" .
Their it has asked for enabling the setting "allow from this source", which I did.
Afterwards I was Trying to disable the setting "allow from this source", but I could not fine the "file manager" application in "install unknow apps".

I suppose system application is not show here, but I need to disable this setting.
Kindly somebody provide the systematic solution.

    Warm Regards

You need to go to File Manager and block from there

Go to: Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> See all apps -> File Manager -> Advanced Tab (a little below) -> Install unknow apps -> disable it

    Hi
I am not seeing the option as communicated before.
I am seeing setting >Apps & notifications >special app access > install unknow apps. Here I am not seeing "file manager" even with "show system" setting.

    Kindly help

It might be disabled automatically, try to install another apk from the file manager if it ask the permission again then all ok.

    Hi,

Just did another install through file manager, and the application installed, thus this setting is not disabled automatically. Even I have tried to clear the data and cache, but no use

I have done clear data, but it is no use in "file manager" . Stil it is not reset the setting (probably because this oxygen os default application)

Alrighty. Guess the only option left to try is a reset of app preferences.
I use CX file explorer. If it's this complicated to change a setting maybe a 3rd party app is preferred.

Thanks, this setting does the reset " file folder" to default. Thanks :)

( also my recommendation to oneplus deloper team to provide the ful setting to system default applications)

The reset app preferences I'm talking about does not wipe the phone.

    1586926785897.jpg
Are you talking about a other type of wipe? Like clear storage for individual apps?
