Find my device from Google not working

Considering a situation that I lost my phone and if I try to find it using FIND MY DEVICE from Google, it is showing a previously recorded location and not the current one.

Either it is a problem with the app or my phone's locator. I have given app all the permissions and still it is not working. Even at times when I book an OLA or Uber locator takes so much time than it should.

App version is working fine. But if I try to find through my google account opening from a browser it shows my last seen location. Can u check with some steps I suggest?

    Open browser
Type android device manager and click first link.
Login to ur Gmail account which is linked to ur phone.

Wait for the web page to fine ur phone.

I am doing this with my location as OFF condition.

Find my device is just a Gimmick it never works in oneplus 5
...if u really lose your phone 95% you won't find it with find my device .. Because phone is encrypted .. and find my device will work only if phone is unlocked

Considering a real time scenario, if u go out and forget to switch on ur location and u lost ur phone.

It will show u the previous active location. What will u do with that? I knew that I lost my phone there. Only if I can find my real time location, I will be able to find my phone.

I also tried using my location ON. it is still showing my previous active location. Can u try it out in a PC and check it out?

Also location-based services drain ur battery.

I'm using Anti-Theft Security - at a symbolic price (for the full version) you have many security options and an attractive interface. You can take a look.

I agree with you ... what if he is not a thief he is a random person who found it ... even in this case once he switch on the phone .. find my device will still not locate your phone even if location is turned on including mobile data.
